Toronto Bound. All Hail Canada!

The view from CN tower. The food was just about as good.

Lodging:
Doubletree Niagara Falls: Large suites, great views of the falls. Easy walk down to the action.
Toronto Residence Inn: HUGE rooms, free breakfast

Sights en route:
Niagara Falls
Border Crossing wait times
Maid of the Mist
Niagara-on-the-Lake: Adorable town, not kitschy like the Falls.
Delicious in English AND French
Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake: Don't laugh! They're really good.

Sights in Toronto, all kid-approved:
Fort York: Another side of the North American story. And everybody is so nice.
Toronto Islands: Cheap and fun ferry ride. Pack a picnic and eat on the beach.
Paddle Toronto (other vendors as well): Right along a fantastic waterfront trail (crowded) for walking, running, etc.
Philosopher's Walk: Short stroll through Royal Conservatory of Music en route to Royal Ontario Museum. Good place to have a snack, coffee, etc.
Royal Ontario Museum
Art Gallery Ontario Fun
Indigo Books: Numerous locations, fantastic browsing and solid kids section.
CN Tower and 360 Restaurant: A bit on the spendy side but worth it for the views, the pampering. And the food isn't actually bad.
Art Gallery Ontario: Especially the modern art. Nice kids area too.
Chinatown Ontario: My kids love to stroll and look at the unusual food, amazing vegetables, signs, dumpling shops, etc. Colorful and fun.
Kensington Market: Easy to hit this after Chinatown for food, shopping, strolling, etc.
Casa Loma: Huge house, self-guided tour (easy with kids). Don't forget to go all the way to the roof.
Bata Shoe Museum: It seems crazy, shoes in a museum? It's a little weird but really, really interesting.

Food:
Bata Shoe Museum. Really. It's cool.

Poutine: You have to do it especially if it has hot dogs on it.
St. Lawrence Market: Run, don't walk. And stay for hours, eating.
